EventsWe are excited to list the following events that author Patty Apostolides has attended and will be participating in the upcoming months. She is committed to helping the Greek American community (which includes both the church and organizations). Part of the proceeds from all book sales go to charity.
September 25, 26 2010 - Booksigning at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church festival, 12 - 6 PM, Club Hill Rd., Baltimore, MD. Many chances to win free books.
November 6, 2009 - Written/performed a song titled "Life in Morgan County" and submitted to the FAST contest in Morgan County, WV. October 26, 2009 - Attended local book club in Hagerstown, MD and discussed her novel "Lipsi's Daughter."
February 9, 2008 - The Daughters of Penelope Hermione Chapter invited the author to do a talk and booksigning at St. Sophia Cathedral, Washington. D.C. Part of the proceeds will benefit the DOP chapter. January 26, 2008 - The Metropolitan Tea for the children's AGAPE fund will take place at Sts. Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, Frederick, MD. The author wll attend and will donate "The Lion and the Nurse" to be raffled for the AGAPE fund.
August 18-19, 2007 - The Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox church on 1700 Amherst Ave, Winchester, VA will have their annual Festival on August 18-19, 2007. The Author will do booksignings on both days in the afternoons. May 17- 20, 2007 - The Sts. Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church on 920 West 7th Street in Frederick, MD is hosting its annual festival during this four day weekend. The Author will be available Friday from 5-8 PM and Sunday until 8 PM of that weekend for booksigning.
April 22, 2007 - Author will speak 1:55 PM and do a booksigning of Lipsi's Daughter and Candlelit Journey: Poetry from the Heart at the International Day of the Book 2007 Festival in Old Town Kensington, MD. This Street Festival will take place between 12-5PM and is Free. Other participants include authors, artists, music, booksellers, publishers, and more.
April 12, 2007 - Author will do a talk, poetry reading and book signing at the Sts. Anargyroi Ladies Philoptochos' Membership event, 7:00 PM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1200 Klockner Rd., Trenton, NJ 08619.
November 18, 2006 - Author was invited to play viola with the Friday Morning Music Club Orchestra and Chorale, under the baton of Mr. Webster A. Rogers, Jr. The program is A Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart 250th Birthday Jubilee Concert featuring Mozart's Great Mass in C-Moll, K427, Vesperae Solennes de Confessore, K339, with Chorus, Soloists, and Full Orchestra, plus Mozart opera overtures and motets. 4:00 pm at St. John's Episcopal Church, 6701 Wisconsin Ave., Chevy Chase, MD. Admission is Free. October 21, 2006 - Author donated a gift basket and was a sponsor for the Daughters of Penelope Fashion Show Luncheon to benefit the OI Foundation. Bethesda, MD. March 25, 2006 - Author sang with the Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Choir under the leadership of Dr. Theodore Papaloizos, who conducted the choir in the musical portion of the March 25th Independence Day program - sponsored by The Prometheus organization (with other Greek affiliated programs and churches) of Washington, D.C.The event took place at St. Katherine G.O. Church, Falls Church, VA.
